Learning Objectives

 

TID-01.  Demonstrate exposure to emerging system technologies.

TID-02.  Demonstrate an exposure to other systems commonly used in local education agencies, including food service, transportation and asset management.

TID-03.  Demonstrate a working knowledge of components needed in an RFP for system selection.

TID-04.  Demonstrate a working knowledge of the concept of data governance, including the role and structure of data quality management teams.

TID-05.  Demonstrate familiarity with data warehousing concepts and practices.

TID-06.  Demonstrate familiarity with interactions between student systems, HR systems and financial systems.

TID-07.  Demonstrate familiarity with data integration methodologies concepts and applications.

TID-08.  Demonstrate familiarity with the concept of data confidentiality.

TID-09.  Demonstrate familiarity with technology infrastructure including its relationship to facilities.

TID-10.  Demonstrate a working knowledge of the functionality of an SIS, including attendance, grading, discipline, etc.

TID-11.  Demonstrate the ability to apply what they have learned about the RFP process to develop the system requirements for an SIS.

TID-12. Demonstrate familiarity with best practices for archiving and types of media used.
